The Hair as Yellow as Corn...

Venture deep Into the Woods, where “happily ever after” takes a detour.

Familiar fairy tale characters Little Red, the Baker and his wife, a Witch, and Cinderella all invade one another’s stories with wicked consequences in Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award-winning musical.

They realize they must work together to set everything straight in the kingdom and their humorous and touching journey features a sophisticated score with favorites such as “Into The Woods,” “Giants In The Sky,” and “No One Is Alone.”

Charmien plays the eccentric and chaotic Rapunzel and also understudies Cinderella.

A Triumphant Return to La Comedia

"Byrd is particularly winning late in Act 1 filling the ballad “With You” with ample heartbreak and yearning."

~Russell Florence Jr., Dayton Daily News

La Comedia Dinner Theatre's 50th anniversary season begins with the dramatic supernatural thriller Ghost: The Musical from January 10 - February 9. Adapted from the hit film, Ghost: The Musical follows Sam and Molly (played by engaged couple Montana Iverson and Charmien Byrd), a young couple whose connection takes a shocking turn after Sam’s untimely death. The bond of love transcends the boundaries of life itself to grow stronger and more fully realized.

Trapped between two worlds, Sam refuses to leave Molly when he learns she is in grave danger. Desperate to communicate with her, he turns to a storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown, who helps him protect Molly and avenge his death. Ghost: The Musical is a poignant romance that builds comedy, suspense, and deeply felt emotion to a supernatural climax that audiences will never forget.
